Correct sound effect

The cue that confirms an answer landed. Describe how bright it is, how many tones it takes, and how quickly it gets out of the way, and it arrives sized for your screen.

  • Say how bright the cue is, how many tones, and how fast it rises
  • A confirmation nobody else has already shipped in their app
  • Clean audio you can hand straight to a build or a timeline
Two brushed metal tuning bars caught mid-ring, close enough to fill the frame, warm light breaking along their edges

Correct cue variations for apps, quizzes, and lessons

Correct answer chime

Two tones climbing, which is the shape everyone already reads as yes. This is the default for a quiz, a lesson, or any moment where the answer is either right or it is not.

Quiet confirmation

A tick with a small tone behind it, pitched to be noticed rather than announced. This is the one for a form field or a settings toggle, where a chime every few seconds would wear thin fast.

Bright bell ding

A single struck bell with the shimmer left on. It carries across a room, which makes it the right choice for something played out loud to a group rather than through headphones.

Rising four-note run

Four steps instead of two, which reads as a bigger achievement than a single answer. Use it at the end of a set rather than after every question, or the difference stops meaning anything.

Warm wooden confirm

Struck wood rather than metal, so there is no glare on the front of it. It suits a calm interface, a kids app, or anything where the metallic version sounds severe.

Correct sting with a shimmer

Three rising tones with a sparkle trailing behind them. The tail gives an on screen graphic time to animate in, which the shorter cues do not.

Ways to use a correct sound effect

Confirm the moment an answer lands

A two-tone rise placed on the tap tells the player they were right before any text appears. It works the same in a language app, a quiz video, or a classroom deck.

Carry a pause after a question without music

A sting with a shimmer tail holds the two seconds between the answer and the next card. That keeps a tutorial, a stream, or a lesson recording from going dead.

Make an app feel finished before anyone reads a word

A warm wooden confirm sets the character of an interface in a second and a half. Onboarding flows and game menus both live or die on that first impression.

Suggest a system responding that you never show

A quiet tick and tone implies a machine accepting an entry with nothing on screen at all. Handy in animation, radio drama, or a product film shot without a working build.

SSS

What makes a sound read as correct rather than wrong?
The direction of the pitch. Tones that climb are heard as approval and tones that fall are heard as refusal, across almost every audience, so a rising pair reads as correct even to someone who has never used your app before.
How do I make a correct answer sound effect?
Describe the object and the movement instead of the meaning. Say what is being struck, whether it is metal, glass, or wood, how many tones there are, whether they rise, and how long the ring lasts. A model has no idea what correct sounds like, but it knows exactly what struck glass does.
How short should a confirmation cue in an app be?
Around a second and a half, then trimmed in your editor if you need it tighter. Anything shorter than that tends to come back empty from a generator, and a cue that a person hears fifty times a day needs to end before they notice it started.
Why does my correct cue get annoying after a few plays?
Usually because it is too bright and too long for how often it fires. Swap the metal for wood, drop it to two tones, and keep the decay short. Reserve the four-note version for the end of a set, so the big cue still feels like it means something.
Should the same cue play in a game and in a quiz video?
Not usually. A cue heard through headphones during play can be quiet and dry, while one playing out of a phone speaker over edited footage needs the bell version with more ring in it, or it disappears under the voice track.
Can I use a generated correct sound commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. That matters for interface cues in particular, since one shipped in an app is distributed with every copy of it rather than played once in a video.
