How do I make a dinosaur sound effect?
Build it from mechanisms rather than asking for a dinosaur. Name the size of the animal, the part of it producing the sound, and the texture you want, and you get a creature instead of the stock big cat the word roar returns.
What do dinosaur sounds in films actually come from?
Layered recordings of living animals, slowed and combined. That is why describing a resonant air column, a chest vibration or a bone closure works so well as a prompt: it asks for the same building blocks the technique has always used.
How do I make a creature sound enormous?
