How do I draw a wrapped sweet?
Draw the sweet as a simple oval first, then the wrapper as a slightly larger shape around it with a pinch at each end. The fan of creases at the twist is what sells it, so keep those lines radiating from the pinch point.
How do I make candy look glossy?
Leave the highlight unmarked rather than drawing it. Shade around a clean bright patch, add a darker band just past it, then a faint bounce light on the far edge. Hard edged highlights read as glass or plastic, soft ones read as matte.
How do I draw a lollipop spiral?
Start at the centre and work outward, keeping the gap between turns even, then let the spiral compress slightly as it nears the edge so the sweet reads as round rather than flat.
How do I draw translucent gummy sweets?
