Krea 2

Krea 2 is Krea AI's first foundation image model, built completely from scratch and focused on aesthetics and creative control. It is built around how an image should look, with style transfer from references, moodboards, and a creativity control that decides how literally it follows the prompt.

Krea 2 is an image model. It generates stills from text prompts and reference images, with a focus on aesthetic range, from grainy film photography and clean studio shots to cinematic stills, illustrations, and digital paintings.

Open Copilot or Canvas on Morphic, describe the image, and select Krea 2 from the model picker. Add one or more reference images or a moodboard to guide the style, set the creativity control, and generate. It stays in the same workflow as every other image and video model on Morphic.

Krea 2 Medium is the smaller, faster, more cost-efficient variant, strong on illustration, anime, painting, and other expressive styles. Krea 2 Large is more than twice the size, with particular strength in photorealism and raw aesthetics like motion blur, grain, and low dynamic range. Krea 2 Turbo returns images in about 2 seconds and works with style references, moodboards, and LoRAs.

Pass one or more reference images into Krea 2 and it reads the style components and applies them to your output. You control how strongly each reference influences the result, and you can combine several references in a single image.

A moodboard is a group of images that share a creative direction. Instead of a single reference, Krea 2 reads the palettes, themes, and motifs across the whole set, which suits more open-ended aesthetics that mix several styles or motifs.

Creativity is a setting with raw, low, medium, and high options. It decides how literally Krea 2 follows the prompt versus how much aesthetic depth it adds. Lower settings stay close to the prompt; higher settings give the model more room for character and texture.

Krea 2 is built to render a wide range of looks without the generic AI polish, from grainy film photography to clean studio shots, cinematic stills, illustrations, and digital paintings. It handles film grain, chrome and metallic surfaces, motion blur, glitter, iridescent textures, and macro detail.

Krea AI announced Krea 2 on May 12, 2026 as its first foundation image model built from scratch. It later became available to developers through fal as an official API partner.
