What makes this different from a normal laugh?
The separation. A real laugh runs its syllables together; this one articulates each one with a gap after it. Asking for separate, evenly spaced syllables is the single instruction that produces the effect.
How do I make it creepy rather than silly?
Slow it down and widen the gaps. Nobody laughs at that pace involuntarily, so a slow deliberate version reads as performed, which is what unsettles people.
How many syllables should it have?
Four is the standard and reads as complete. Six works if you also ask for them to speed up and run together at the end, which sounds like someone losing control of the joke.
How is this different from an evil laugh?
An evil laugh is about register and menace. This is about rhythm and articulation, and it is usually funny rather than threatening. They are separate pages because they want completely different clips.
Why does my laugh come back sounding natural?
The gaps were not in the prompt. Say "separate" and "with a gap between each one" explicitly, because the model default is a continuous natural laugh and it will smooth the syllables together otherwise.
Can I use this in a monetised video?
