What kinds of rain sounds can I generate?
Anything from a fine drizzle to a hammering downpour, on any surface you name: pavement, glass, a tin roof, leaves, water, or a canvas tent. Because the sound comes from your description rather than a fixed catalogue, you can ask for a combination nobody happened to record.
How do I make rain sound realistic in a video?
Name the surface and the distance, not just the weather. Rain by itself is a generic hiss, and what makes it read as real is the material it lands on and how far away it is. "Rain on a corrugated tin roof, close" and "rain on soil, heard from indoors" give you two convincingly different scenes.
Why does my rain sound come out as static?
Because the prompt described the weather rather than the sound. A model given the word rain alone reaches for an even hiss. Describe the mechanism instead: what is falling, what it is landing on, whether individual drops are audible, and whether it is unbroken. That is what turns a wash into rain.
