Perguntas frequentes

How do I draw a truck that sits properly on the ground?
Draw the ground line before the vehicle and make sure both visible wheels touch it. In a three quarter view the far wheels sit slightly higher in the frame than the near ones because they are further away, and the ellipses of the far wheels are narrower. A truck that looks like it is floating almost always has wheels drawn as the same ellipse on both sides.
How do I get truck perspective right without measuring everything?
Block the whole vehicle as a single box in perspective first, then cut the cab, bed and wheel arches out of it. Because a truck is essentially a rectangular volume, if the box is correct the details will follow. Only add the panel lines once the box reads as solid.
What is the easiest truck angle for a beginner?
A flat side view, because nothing converges and both wheels are drawn as plain circles. It is also the angle that suits a line-only style, since a truck side is mostly straight panel seams. Move to a front three quarter once the proportions feel reliable.
How do I draw wheels and tyres that look heavy?
Give the tyre a visible sidewall thickness and let the contact patch flatten slightly where it meets the road. Heavy vehicles run twin rear wheels, so draw the pair as one wide unit rather than two separate circles. The flattening at the bottom is what reads as load.
How do I get a plain background or a tighter crop?
Ask for a flat white background with no road or setting around the vehicle, then crop it on the Canvas. That keeps the silhouette clean if the drawing is headed for a livery mockup, a poster layout or a set of matching vehicle illustrations.
Can I keep a whole set of vehicle drawings in one style?
Use Style Transfer. Lock the look of the first drawing, then apply it as you generate each body type so the line weight, the wheel treatment and the palette stay matched. That is what lets a pickup, a van and a rig sit on one page and look like one series.
