Through the bead curtain

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A steady forward push toward a hanging bead curtain in a doorway. For the first two seconds a dim back kitchen is visible through the gaps. The camera pushes through so the beads fill and scatter across the whole frame for about half a second, and the same push continues at the same speed into a bright tiled bathroom instead, the strands swinging closed behind, so a kitchen at the start is a bathroom by the end. The push never slows or turns. Warm dim light, then cold even light. 35mm, film grain. About 7 seconds, no loop. <beads clattering across the lens, then a tap running>. No music.

Edit prompt

The mirror clears on somewhere else

Two shots joined by a wipe on glass. First half, a hand drags across a misted bathroom mirror in one steady movement, clearing a band of it. What appears in the cleared band is not the room behind the camera but a different room entirely, sunlit and empty, and the second half pushes into that reflection until it fills the frame, so a steamed bathroom at the start is a bright empty room by the end. Dim and warm, then flat daylight. 50mm, shallow depth of field, film grain. About 7 seconds, no loop. <a tap running, then sudden quiet> (a thin high string note on the reveal).

Edit prompt

Up past the floor slab

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A steady vertical rise up the outside of a building through an open facade, a furnished living room visible for the first two seconds. The camera continues up at exactly the same speed and the concrete edge of the floor slab above passes across the lens and fills the entire frame for about half a second, and the same rise carries on out of it into the storey above, which is an empty stripped shell with bare walls, so a lived-in room at the start is an unfinished one directly above it by the end. The speed and the framing never change and the slab is the only thing that covers the change. Warm lamplight below, cold grey daylight above. 35mm, film grain. About 8 seconds, no loop. <room tone giving way to open air and traffic below>. No music.

Edit prompt

Porthole becomes moon

Two shots joined on a shape. First half, a slow push toward a brass porthole in a dark ship's corridor, the lit circle of it centred in frame. On the cut the circle becomes a full moon of the same size in the same position, and the second half pulls back from it to reveal a still lake below, so a ship interior at the start is an open night landscape by the end and the circle never moves. Warm lamplight in the first half, cold blue moonlight in the second. Anamorphic, 35mm grain. About 8 seconds, no loop. <engine hum cutting to night air and water> (a low sustained tone across the join).

Edit prompt

A sheet of newspaper takes the lens

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A locked off medium on an empty alley in daylight. A large sheet of newspaper blows up into the lens and presses flat against it, filling the frame completely for about half a second before peeling away, and behind it the same alley is at night under a single lamp with rain falling, so a dry daylight alley at the start is a wet night one by the end. The camera does not move and the walls stay in the same position. Flat grey daylight, then warm lamplight on wet brick. 35mm, film grain. About 6 seconds, no loop. <wind and paper against the lens, then rain>. No music.

Edit prompt

The bank rolls off the field

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A locked off wide on a green field of young wheat as a bank of low fog rolls across it from the left, covering the frame completely for about a second as it passes. As the trailing edge clears to the right the same field is golden and ready to cut, so an early crop at the start is a ripe one by the end. The camera holds exactly still and the horizon line does not shift. Cool grey light, then warm low sun. Anamorphic, 35mm grain. About 10 seconds, no loop. <wind rising as the bank passes, then insects>. No music.

Edit prompt

Crowd closes, crowd opens

Two shots joined behind a crowd. First half, a wide shot of a daylight protest where marchers cross close to camera until bodies fill the frame completely. When they clear, the second half is a packed night concert in the same framing, the crowd thinning to reveal a stage instead of a street, so a daytime march at the start is a night crowd by the end. Flat grey daylight, then hard stage light and haze. Anamorphic, 35mm grain. About 8 seconds, no loop. <chanting becoming a crowd roar> (a bass drop on the reveal).

Edit prompt

Down through the surface

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A vertical steady descent toward the surface of a swimming pool from above. For the first two seconds the tiled bottom is visible through it. The camera passes through the surface so churned white water fills the entire frame for about half a second, and the same descent continues at the same speed into open sea with a reef below instead of tiles, so a pool at the start is open ocean by the end. The descent never slows. Cold tiled blue, then warm sunlit green. 35mm, shallow depth of field. About 7 seconds, no loop. <a surface break, then muffled open water>. No music.

Edit prompt

A lorry wipes the frame

Two shots joined by a foreground wipe. First half, a woman waits at a kerb in daylight. A lorry crosses close to camera left to right and fills the frame entirely for a moment, and when it clears the second half is the same woman on the same kerb at night with the street now wet and lit, so a daytime street at the start is a night one by the end and the wipe is the only join. Cold overcast light, then sodium and neon. 35mm, film grain. About 6 seconds, no loop. <traffic, then rain and a passing engine> (a synth pulse entering after the wipe).

Edit prompt

Into one fire, out of another

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A steady push into a domestic fireplace where logs are burning. For the first two seconds a quiet sitting room surrounds it. The camera moves into the flame until orange fills the entire frame for about half a second, and the same push continues at the same speed out of a forge fire into a working smithy, so a sitting room at the start is a smithy by the end. The move is continuous and never reverses. Warm domestic light, then hard industrial dark with a bright fire. 50mm, shallow depth of field, film grain. About 7 seconds, no loop. <a crackling hearth becoming a roaring forge and hammer>. No music.

Edit prompt

Behind the pillar, someone else

Two shots joined behind an obstruction. First half, a man in a grey coat walks left to right and passes behind a wide stone pillar that hides him completely. The second half continues the same walk at the same pace out from the far side of the pillar, but it is now a woman in a red coat in the same corridor, so one figure at the start is a different one by the end with no break in the movement. Cold daylight throughout, unchanged. 50mm, shallow depth of field, film grain. About 7 seconds, no loop. <steady footsteps that never change rhythm> (a quiet unsettling tone).

Edit prompt

The trunk wipes the season

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A lateral tracking shot travelling steadily left to right through open woodland in full summer leaf. A broad tree trunk very close to the lens crosses the frame and covers it completely for about half a second, and the same track continues at exactly the same speed out the other side into the same woodland in deep winter, bare branches and snow on the ground. The camera height, the speed and the direction never change and the trunk is the only thing that covers the change. Dappled green light, then flat blue-grey light. 35mm, film grain. About 8 seconds, no loop. <birdsong and leaves, then wind through bare branches>. No music.

Edit prompt

The spin changes the room

Two states joined around a turning figure. A vertical medium shot of a dancer spinning on the spot, held centred and in focus throughout, while the room behind her changes completely between one revolution and the next, from a bare studio to a lit stage, so the same dancer at the start is on a stage by the end and she never leaves frame. Her spin does not change speed. Flat studio light, then warm stage light and haze. 50mm, shallow depth of field, film grain. About 7 seconds, no loop. <a bare room tone becoming a full hall> (a beat entering as the room changes).

Edit prompt

Under here, up there

Two shots joined under water. First half, a swimmer dives into a still indoor pool and disappears below the surface, the camera following her down into blue. On the cut the second half rises with her through open sea water and she breaks the surface in a wide bay, so an indoor pool at the start is open ocean by the end and the descent and ascent read as one continuous move. Cold tiled light, then sunlit green blue. 35mm, shallow depth of field. About 8 seconds, no loop. <a pool splash going muffled, then surf and gulls> (a swelling low tone underwater).

Edit prompt

Into the vent steam

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A steady forward travel along a pavement toward a street grate venting heavy steam. For the first two seconds the street is a quiet residential row. The camera passes into the steam so the frame goes completely white for about three quarters of a second, and the same travel continues at the same speed out of it onto a crowded night market street, so a quiet row at the start is a busy market by the end. The camera never changes speed or height. Flat grey daylight, then warm night light. 35mm, handheld with a steady pace. About 7 seconds, no loop. <a quiet street, a hiss of steam, then market noise>. No music.

Edit prompt

Through the falling water

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A steady forward push toward a curtain of falling water. For the first two seconds a narrow mossy gorge is visible through it. The camera passes into the water so it fills the entire frame for about half a second, and the same push continues at exactly the same speed out the far side into a wide dry canyon in hard sun, so a green gorge at the start is an arid canyon by the end. The framing, the speed and the direction never change and the water is the only thing that covers the change. Cool green shade, then hot ochre light. Anamorphic, 35mm grain. About 8 seconds, no loop. <falling water covering everything, then open wind>. No music.

Edit prompt

Into one eye, out of another

Two shots joined on an iris. First half, a slow push into a young woman's eye until the iris fills the frame. On the cut the second half pulls back out of an older woman's eye of the same colour and size, revealing her in a different room, so one face at the start is another by the end and the movement into and out of the eye is continuous. Cool window light, then warm lamplight. 100mm macro to 50mm, shallow depth of field. About 8 seconds, no loop. <a held breath, then a clock ticking> (a sustained string note across the join).

Edit prompt

Blink into another room

Two shots joined on a blink. First half, an extreme close vertical shot of an eye open in a dim room, which then closes fully so the frame goes to skin and darkness. The second half opens the same eye onto a completely different room, bright and unfamiliar, so one location at the start is another by the end and the blink is the only join. Warm dim light, then cold bright daylight. 100mm macro, very shallow depth of field. About 6 seconds, no loop. <room tone changing completely across the blink> (a soft tone entering after).

Edit prompt

The dust sheet comes off

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A locked off medium on a dust-sheeted room. A hand pulls the sheet toward camera so the fabric fills the entire frame for about three quarters of a second as it passes, and when it has gone the room behind is fully furnished, lived in and lit, so a shrouded empty room at the start is an occupied one by the end. The camera does not move and the window stays in the same place. Cold grey light, then warm lamplight. 35mm, film grain. About 7 seconds, no loop. <a sheet dragging past the lens, then a room with a radio playing>. No music.

Edit prompt

Out of the trees, into the street

A single unbroken take with no cut at any point and no dissolve. A steady forward travel along a track under a dense canopy. For the first two seconds it is deep woodland. The track enters a tunnel of overhanging branches where the frame falls to almost complete darkness for about half a second, and the same travel continues at the same speed out of an underpass into a busy city street, so a forest track at the start is a city street by the end. The camera never stops, slows or turns. Dappled green shade, then flat urban daylight. Anamorphic, 35mm grain. About 8 seconds, no loop. <birdsong falling away into traffic>. No music.

Perguntas frequentes

How do I use these transition prompts?
Pick any prompt, copy it, and paste it into Morphic. Each one describes two shots and the thing that carries the eye between them, so the model reads the join as the subject. Change either half and the join still works as long as you keep what is shared.
Why do I need a model that supports multi-shot?
A transition is two shots inside one clip, so the model has to be able to render more than one shot from a single prompt. Not every video model can. These prompts are written for models that do, which is why they hold together instead of producing one shot that drifts.
What makes a match cut actually match?
Something identical on both sides of the join, in the same place in frame. A shape at the same size, a movement at the same speed and direction, a colour filling the same proportion of the frame. Name that shared element explicitly and the cut disappears.
How long should a transition clip be?
Long enough for both halves to read. Six to eight seconds gives each shot two or three seconds plus the join, which is usually enough. A pass-through or a slow time change wants ten, because the move itself has to breathe.
Can I use the videos commercially?
The prompts here describe original scenes and fictional subjects, so what you generate is yours to use. Avoid prompting for real logos, trademarks, or a living person's likeness, and keep your final use in line with Morphic's terms.
