How do you draw a tombstone so it looks like carved stone?
Stone reads through irregularity. Ask for a chipped top edge, a pitted surface and a contour that is never perfectly straight. A clean rectangle with even shading reads as cardboard no matter how dark you push the shadows.
Should the tombstone have writing on it?
Usually not. Generated lettering tends to come back garbled, and a blank or barely suggested face looks more convincing anyway. Ask for no lettering, then add your own text on the Canvas or in your layout tool.
