What is a container sound effect?
Container sounds are the noises of opening, closing, setting down and dropping the things we keep stuff in: glass jars, plastic tubs, tin boxes, wooden crates and metal cans. The material does most of the work: glass pops, plastic snaps, tin clanks and wood creaks.

How do I make a custom container sound effect?

Why does my container sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the material in the sound does not match the one in shot. A glass pop on a plastic tub reads wrong at once, so name the material you see, and keep the level close for hands on the lid and lower when the container is further away.
