Fade

Swells rising out of silence, whooshes thinning away to nothing and glassy shimmers that bloom and dissolve between shots. Describe the fade your edit needs and Morphic generates it clean.

  • A swell up from black, a whoosh out or a shimmer that dissolves, faded as you ask
  • Fades timed to your dip to black at the close of the opening scene
  • Clean isolated fades with no music under them, ready for a video, a game or a podcast

Fade sounds for games, animation, and video edits

Fade-in swell

A smooth rise out of silence for a fade up from black, an opening title or the first shot of a new scene in a video.

Fade-out whoosh

Air thinning away to nothing as the picture fades out, for the end of a chapter, a montage close or a credits cut.

Shimmer fade

Glassy chimes that bloom and dissolve, for a dream fade, a memory, a magic reveal or a light scene change in animation.

Reverse swell

A reversed wash that rushes up and stops dead, for a fade that snaps into the next shot, a logo or a hard cut.

Bouncy fade-out

Bounces getting smaller and lower until gone, for a cartoon exit, a kids video, a game menu closing or a comic fade.

Muffled fade-out

Sound losing its edge and sinking away, for a character blacking out, a dip to black or a scene drifting into memory.

الأسئلة الشائعة

What is a fade sound effect?
Fade sounds are short pieces of sound design that rise out of silence or sink into it, used to mark a picture fading in or out. People mean swells, whooshes, shimmers and reversed washes that move the ear from one shot to the next with no melody.
Where can I get fade sounds for a video?
Describe the fade and generate it on Morphic. You get the exact direction and texture your cut needs without combing through a stock library, and every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so any of them is a starting point.
How do I make a custom fade sound effect?
Say whether the sound fades in or out, what it is made of and how long it takes, then generate it. A prompt like "a bright glassy shimmer of high chimes swelling up loud and slowly dissolving away" gives Morphic enough to work with.
What is the difference between a fade, a riser and a whoosh?
A fade changes level slowly, rising out of silence or sinking into it to blur a cut. A riser climbs in pitch and tension toward a hit, and a whoosh is a fast pass of air that moves past and is gone in a moment.
Can I use these fade sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my fade sound not sit right in the edit?
The fade is usually a different length from the picture fade. Line the start of the sound up with the first frame of the dissolve and its end with the last, and keep the level under any dialogue that runs across the cut.
