Carry one shot into the next
A rising pass across the cut point smooths a hard change of angle, the trick behind almost every fast-paced explainer and highlight reel.

Sweep
The filtered whoosh that carries the audience from one shot to the next. Describe the sweep your edit needs, from a fast noise pass to a slow rising transition, and Morphic generates it clean in seconds.
- Shape the rise so it peaks on the exact frame where the picture changes, never a moment early.
- Built around your transition, not the same filtered noise pass heard on every other social edit.
- Delivered as a full-range file with a clean tail, so it fades out rather than clipping at the cut.
Sweeps for transitions in video, games, and motion graphics
Noise sweep
Filtered white noise rising into the cut, the workhorse transition for titles, lower thirds and quick social edits.
Upward whoosh
Air pitching up as it passes, for moves that go higher: a camera lifting, a menu opening, an idea escalating.
Downward whoosh
The falling counterpart, settling energy back down when you close a section or return to a wide establishing shot.
Reverse sweep
A tail that plays backwards into the moment of change, giving the viewer a breath of warning before the picture flips.
Fast air whoosh
Very short and dry with almost no tail, for rapid cut sequences where anything longer would overlap the next hit.
Metallic sweep
A resonant, ringing pass with a hard edge, suited to sci-fi interfaces, weapon reveals and title cards with steel in them.

Ways to use a sweep sound effect
When a slide has nothing under it
Presentation slides and menu screens change in silence by default; a short air pass gives each move momentum and keeps attention forward.

A channel that sounds designed, not assembled
Used consistently, one sweep family gives a channel, a podcast intro or a game interface a recognisable texture from the first second.

Motion just outside the frame
A fast whoosh past the microphone puts a car, a blade or a running character in motion outside the shot while the camera holds still.

الأسئلة الشائعة
What is a sweep sound effect?
A sweep, often called a whoosh or a transition, is a moving filtered sound that carries the ear from one shot or scene to the next. It is usually filtered noise passing across, rising, falling, or reversing, and its whole job is motion, so it smooths a cut, a wipe, or a UI change and makes the transition feel deliberate.
Where can I get a sweep sound for a video?
Generate one rather than search for it. Describing the transition you want takes less time than digging through a stock library, and you get the exact sweep your cut needs instead of the closest available clip. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom sweep sound effect?
Describe what moves, which way it goes, and how fast, then generate it. A prompt like "filtered noise sweeping across with a quick decay" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the speed and direction until it matches the motion of your transition.
What is the difference between a sweep and a build up?
A sweep is a short pass that carries a cut, moving across in a second or two and getting out of the way. A build up is a longer rise that climbs toward a peak and holds tension the whole time. Use a sweep to smooth a transition, and a build up when you want anticipation across several seconds before a drop.
Can I use these sweep sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated rather than pulled from a shared library, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my sweep not sit right in the edit?
Usually it is timing or direction rather than the sound itself. A sweep has to peak on the frame the picture changes, and a rising whoosh under a downward move fights the picture. Generate a version whose direction matches the motion and whose peak lands on the cut, and it carries the transition far more cleanly.
