Draw a robot and finish it in your browser

Describe the robot you want in Morphic's Image tool, from a friendly boxy figure to a heavily panelled industrial build, and get a finished drawing back. Set the body shape, the joint type, the surface wear, the medium and the paper, refine it on the Canvas, then download it in HD.

Perguntas frequentes

How do I draw a robot that looks mechanical rather than costumed?
Mechanical parts do not deform. Keep every surface a hard volume, a box, a cylinder or a plate, and let the shape change only at a joint. Leave a visible gap where two parts meet instead of blending them, and make sure each limb could physically swing on the pivot you have drawn.
How do I draw joints?
Pick one system and stay with it across the figure. A hinge gives one axis and shows as a barrel with a pin through it. A ball joint gives free rotation and shows as a sphere sitting in a socket cup. A ribbed sleeve bends like a concertina. Mixing all three at random is what makes a build look incoherent.
How do I draw panel lines without overloading the drawing?
Panel lines should follow the form and explain it, not decorate it. Run them along the direction of the volume, break the surface into a few large plates rather than many small ones, and keep them lighter than the silhouette. If a viewer cannot tell the outline from the panelling at a glance, there are too many.
What is an easy robot drawing for a beginner?
Start with a boxy figure. A rectangle head, a larger rectangle body, cylinders for limbs and a simple round lens for an eye. Because everything is a straight-sided volume, proportion errors show immediately and are easy to fix. Add antenna, a chest hatch and hinged elbows once the block-in reads well.
How do I get a plain background behind a robot?
Ask for a flat white paper background with no workshop, corridor or setting around the figure, then crop it on the Canvas. A clean silhouette is what makes the drawing usable as a sticker, a game asset reference or one tile in a character sheet.
Can I keep a set of robot drawings in the same design language?
Use Style Transfer. Lock the look of the first build, then apply it as you generate the rest so the plating, joint system, line weight and wear carry across the set. That is what turns four separate robots into a family that looks built by the same hand.
