Potter leaning into the wheel

A locked medium shot at wheel height eases a few inches closer. A potter leans in from the shoulders, presses both thumbs into a spinning cylinder and draws it upward, then sits back as the wall thins and steadies. A single north window lays soft light across wet clay and forearms. Muted grey, ochre and warm skin tones, 50mm, shallow depth of field. The effort moves from torso to hands, slow and continuous. One unbroken 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Braid trailing a head turn

A tight profile shot holds steady at eye level. A woman snaps her head to look over her shoulder and a heavy braid whips around a beat later, overshoots, then swings back and settles against her collarbone. Late afternoon sun rakes in from behind, catching loose hairs, warm gold against a shaded brick wall. Portrait film look, 85mm, creamy falloff. The head arrives, the hair follows, the hair settles last. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Turning toward a sound off frame

A medium shot holds still with the subject slightly off centre. A bookbinder pressing a spine stops mid-motion, the shoulders lift, then the head and torso rotate together toward something beyond the frame edge and hold there. Warm bench lamp from the left, deep workshop shadow behind, brown leather and brass. Quiet observational tone, 50mm, shallow depth. Stillness, a sharp turn, a held look. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Stadium wave

A high wide shot holds across a packed stand. A band of spectators stands and throws their arms up, the motion travelling left to right along the tier as each block rises and drops a moment after the one before it, the wave leaving the frame at the far side. Late floodlight, saturated club colours against grey concrete. Broadcast documentary, long lens, slight compression. A travelling ripple at a steady pace. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Marionette taking a walk

A locked side-on shot holds at puppet height. A carved wooden marionette walks four steps across a small stage, each leg lifting from the knee joint and swinging loose, the torso rocking side to side and the head lagging behind the shoulders. Warm footlights from below, painted backdrop, chipped varnish and faded paint. Practical puppetry look, 50mm, real depth of field. Hinged and slightly pendulous, never smooth. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Rotoscoped walk

A locked wide shot holds on an empty pavement. A figure walks from the left edge to the right at an ordinary pace, hands in pockets, shoulders rolling naturally, drawn as traced outlines whose line weight wavers from frame to frame. Flat grey daylight, a palette of ink black, bone white and one flat red for the jacket. Rotoscoped animation over live-action timing, no shading. Real human tempo under a restless drawn line. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Cat leaping, tail counterweight

A locked side-on shot frames both ledges. A tabby cat coils low on a stone ledge, springs across a gap with the spine extending, the tail sweeping opposite the body to hold its line, then lands forepaws first and gathers the hind legs under it. Warm late light on old stone, dusty ochre and grey. Naturalistic wildlife look, 85mm, shallow depth. Coil, extension, a counterweighted arc, a soft landing. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Blacksmith winding up

A low three-quarter shot holds still on the anvil. A blacksmith raises the hammer high, pauses at the top of the arc as the shoulder loads, then brings it down onto glowing steel so sparks burst sideways and the arm rebounds. Forge light from the right, deep shadow everywhere else, orange against near-black. Documentary tone, 35mm, visible grain. Slow rise, fast fall, a settling ring afterwards. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Dancer landing and settling

A full-body wide shot stays locked off. A contemporary dancer drops out of a leap, absorbs through bent knees, sways a fraction past centre and then straightens into stillness with the chest lifting. A hard side light from stage left carves the muscle, the floor and backdrop falling to black. Stage documentary look, 50mm, high contrast. Impact, absorption, a small correction, then quiet. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Slackline wobble corrected

A side-on wide shot holds level with the line. A slackliner takes one step, the line oscillates and the hips drop off centre, both arms sweep wide and counter-rotate until the body stacks back over the feet and steadies. Dappled forest light through high branches, green canopy and pale webbing. Outdoor documentary, 35mm, natural contrast. A wobble that grows, then is caught and damped. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Commuters parting around a stillness

A locked wide shot faces down a station concourse. A dense stream of commuters flows toward the lens and divides around a single figure standing motionless with a case at their feet, the two streams closing again behind them. Cold overhead station light, desaturated coats, a warm departure board glow beyond. Observational documentary, 35mm, deep focus. Continuous flow against one fixed point. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Stop-motion stagger

A locked low shot sits at the height of a miniature set. A felt-and-wire fox pads across a moss-covered log, each step landing as a distinct held pose before the next, its tail sweeping in stiff increments and its ears twitching between frames. Warm miniature lamps, hand-dyed felt, visible thumbprints in the clay ground. Aardman-style stop-motion, shallow tabletop depth. Deliberate stepping with a slight jitter. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Wolfhound trot

A tracking shot runs alongside at chest height. A rough-coated wolfhound trots across open ground in a steady two-beat gait, diagonal legs swinging in pairs, its coat lifting along the ribs and its head carried level throughout. Low winter sun from behind, breath showing, pale grass and washed blue sky. Wildlife documentary, 200mm, compressed depth. Metronomic and level, no bounce in the head. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Cloak catching the wind

A low three-quarter shot holds against the horizon. A figure stands on a bare ridge as a gust fills their heavy cloak from behind, the fabric snapping taut, cracking once at the trailing edge, then collapsing against the legs as the gust passes. Flat storm light, heather and slate, a bruised sky behind. Cinematic naturalism, 35mm, deep focus. A build, a hard snap, a slow collapse. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Coat settling after a turn

A waist-up shot holds centre frame with no camera move. A figure in a long wool coat pivots sharply to face the lens, the hem flaring wide and continuing to swing after the shoulders have stopped, then falling back against the legs. Overcast daylight on a wet stone street, slate and oxblood palette. Editorial fashion film, 85mm, shallow focus. The body stops first and the fabric catches up. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Freediver breaking the surface

A low shot sits at water level and holds. A freediver breaks the surface, water sheeting off the scalp and shoulders, the chest expanding hard on a first breath before the shoulders drop and the water goes still around them. Flat overcast light, cold green-grey sea, a pale horizon. Naturalistic documentary, 50mm, real water texture. A surge upward, a held expansion, a slow release. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Kneading dough

A high three-quarter shot looks down at the bench and holds. A baker's two hands fold a slack dough over itself, drive the heel of the palm through it, turn it a quarter and repeat, the mass tightening visibly by the last push. Soft window light from the left, flour dust hanging in it, warm white and pale wood. Food documentary, 50mm, close but not macro. Rhythmic and unhurried, real resistance in the dough. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Signing in a bright doorway

A locked medium shot frames a doorway from inside a dark room. A figure stands in the opening as a pure silhouette and signs a short phrase, the hands and forearms tracing clean shapes against the blown-out white outside before dropping to their sides. Hard daylight beyond, almost no fill inside, near-black against paper white. Graphic documentary, 50mm, high contrast. Crisp shapes, unhurried, fully readable in outline. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Cel-shaded run cycle

A locked side-on shot tracks with the runner so they stay centred. A courier in a wind-whipped jacket runs a full cycle, arms driving, satchel bouncing on the shoulder, feet contacting on every second beat while the background scrolls behind them. Flat evening sky, painted rooftops, a limited palette of teal, cream and rust. Hand-drawn 2D cel animation, bold outlines, minimal shading. Even tempo, built to repeat. A clean 6 second loop, 16:9.

Edit prompt

Heron takeoff

A low side shot holds at water level. A grey heron crouches, unfolds both wings to their full span, pushes off the shallows so the feet trail water, and completes one deep downstroke that lifts it clear of the frame edge. Cold dawn light, mist on flat water, muted slate and dun tones. Nature documentary, 400mm, shallow plane. A gathering crouch, then one powerful beat. One 6 second beat, 16:9.

Preguntas frecuentes

How do I use these Hailuo prompts?
Pick any prompt, copy it, and paste it into Morphic with Hailuo selected. Generate it as written first, then adapt the subject or the camera move while keeping the structure of the brief intact.
What is Hailuo best at?
Reading a long description without losing the thread. Hailuo 2.3 improved coherence and prompt understanding over Hailuo-02, so it rewards a full shot brief rather than a terse one.
How detailed should a Hailuo prompt be?
Detailed, but ordered. Lead with the shot and the camera, then the action, then the light and palette. A long prompt works here as long as each sentence has one job.
Why does my clip drift from the prompt near the end?
Usually because the brief describes a state rather than a change. Give the action an end point, and the model has somewhere to land instead of inventing one.
Can I use the videos commercially?
The prompts here describe original scenes and fictional subjects, so what you generate is yours to use. Avoid prompting for real logos, trademarks, or a living person's likeness, and keep your final use in line with Morphic's terms.
