Motion graphics you can build

Build motion graphics in three steps

  1. 01

    Open Morphic

Sign up and start creating on a free-flowing, infinite visual canvas.

  2. 02

    Bring footage to the timeline

Add your clip to Compose, then layer the titles, shapes, and lower thirds you want to animate over it.

  3. 03

    Keyframe and export

Set keyframes on the Compose timeline so each element enters, holds, and exits in time with the cut, then export.

Use cases

Animated titles and end cards

Slide a title in over your opening shot and close on an animated end card. Keyframes on the Compose timeline set the entrance, the hold, and the exit, so the type moves with intent instead of cutting in flat. A strong title sets the tone before a word is spoken.

Lower thirds and name tags

Add a lower third that lands on the right line of dialogue and clears when the speaker changes. Because the graphic is keyframed on the same timeline as the footage, it stays in sync with the edit. Ideal for interviews, talking heads, and explainers.

Callouts, arrows, and stats

Point at a detail in the shot with an animated arrow, or bring up a stat that tracks a moment on screen. Keyframe position and opacity on the timeline so each callout appears when it matters and leaves before it clutters the frame.

Consistent graphics across a series

Build a title and lower-third setup once, then turn it into a Workflow and rerun it on every episode. The animated look stays consistent across the series, and you skip rebuilding the same keyframed elements clip after clip.

SSS

How do I add motion graphics to my footage?
You bring your clip onto the Compose timeline and layer titles, shapes, and lower thirds over it. Each element is keyframed on the timeline, so you set where it enters, how it moves, and when it leaves. The graphics ride on top of your footage rather than being baked into a fresh render.
What kinds of motion graphics can I make?
Animated titles and kinetic type, lower thirds and name tags, callouts and arrows, shape transitions and wipes, and animated logos or end cards. Anything that needs to move over a video in time with it can be keyframed on the Compose timeline.
Do I keyframe the animation myself?
Yes, and that is where the control comes from. You set keyframes on the Compose timeline for position, scale, and opacity, so a title slides in, holds, and slides out exactly when you want. Timeline keyframing is what keeps the motion in sync with the cut.
Can the graphics stay in sync with the edit?
Yes. Because the graphics live on the same Compose timeline as your footage, a lower third can land on a specific line of dialogue and a callout can track a moment in the shot. Move the clip and the keyframed graphics move with it.
Can I reuse a graphics setup across videos?
Yes. Turn a finished title or lower-third setup into a Workflow and rerun it on the next clip, so a series shares one consistent look. It saves rebuilding the same animated elements for every episode or ad.
Do I need separate motion graphics software?
No. The footage, the graphics, and the keyframes all live in Compose, so you animate titles and shapes over your video in the same place you cut it, without exporting to a dedicated motion tool.
