Preguntas frecuentes

How do I draw an ant correctly?
Three body segments, pinched narrow where they join: head, thorax and a rounded abdomen. All six legs attach to the middle segment, never to the abdomen. Getting the legs onto the thorax is the single correction that fixes most ant drawings.
How do I draw ant legs and antennae?
Each leg bends twice, out from the body then down to the ground, and the feet sit wider than the body so the ant looks stable. The antennae are elbowed, with a long first segment and a shorter angled section after it.
How do I draw a simple ant for a school project?
Three ovals in a row, six short bent lines for legs from the middle oval, two antennae from the head. Ask for a single even outline, no shading and a white background so it can be cut out and pasted onto a sheet.
How do I draw an ant carrying something?
Show the load raised above the head and gripped by the mandibles, and lower the body slightly so the legs brace outward. Ask for the load to be larger than the ant, since that contrast is what the pose is really about.
How do I draw a line of ants?
Keep the spacing uneven and let the trail curve rather than run straight. Draw the nearest two or three ants in full detail and reduce the rest to simple marks that shrink with distance, so the line reads as depth.
Can I keep a set of insect drawings in one style?
Use Style Transfer. Lock the look of your first ant, then apply it while you generate a bee, a beetle and a dragonfly so the line weight, texture and palette stay consistent across the whole sheet.
