Draw an electric guitar with the neck running straight

Draw an electric guitar in your browser with Morphic's Image tool by naming the body shape, the cutaways, the pickups and the drawing medium. Ask for a flat outline or a fully shaded study, straighten the neck and adjust the line weight on the Canvas, then download in HD.

Preguntas frecuentes

How is drawing an electric guitar different from an acoustic?
There is no soundhole ellipse to get right, but the body is asymmetrical and the neck is longer and thinner. The hard parts move to the cutaway horns and keeping the neck perfectly straight along its whole length.
How do I keep the neck from bending in the drawing?
Ask for the neck as a straight taper with both edges converging evenly toward the headstock, and for the frets as parallel lines that get closer together as they go up. Any curve in an edge reads as a mistake immediately.
How do I draw the pickups and hardware?
Treat them as simple rectangles and circles sitting square to the strings. Ask for the pole pieces as a row of small dots on each pickup, which is enough detail to read without turning into clutter.
How many strings and tuners should I ask for?
State the count plainly. Six strings and six tuners is standard, and naming the number stops the drawing from inventing extra ones, which is the most common error on a generated instrument.
Can I get a simple electric guitar outline for a sticker or shirt?
Yes. Ask for one even stroke weight, no shading and a plain white background. A double-cutaway silhouette is the most recognisable shape when it is scaled down small.
Can I draw a whole band setup in the same style?
Lock the guitar with Style Transfer, then generate the amplifier, the bass, the pedals and the microphone stand against it. Everything comes back at one line weight and one shading approach.
