Preguntas frecuentes
How do I draw a hippo step by step?
Start with one large barrel for the body, then a big rectangular block for the head with the muzzle wider than the skull. Add four short thick legs set close under the body, then the small ears and the high-set eyes last.
What are the right hippo proportions?
The body is about twice as long as it is tall and the legs are very short, so the belly hangs close to the ground. The head is large relative to the body and the muzzle is the widest part of it. Keeping the legs short is what most drawings get wrong.
How do I draw a hippo for kids?
Round everything off. One big oval body, a rounded rectangle head, four stubby legs and two small circle ears. Ask for a thick even outline, flat colour and no texture, and it stays simple enough for a child to copy.
How do I draw a hippo in water?
Show only the eyes, ears and nostrils above the surface, since those three sit on one level so the animal can watch and breathe while submerged. Ask for a hard waterline cutting across the head and the composition does the rest.
How do I draw hippo skin texture?
The hide is thick and creases in heavy folds around the neck, shoulder and legs rather than wrinkling evenly all over. Ask for deep folds at the joints and smooth blended tone across the flanks, and the animal reads as heavy.
Can I keep a set of animal drawings in one style?
Use Style Transfer. Lock the look of your first hippo, then apply it while you generate an elephant, a rhino and a buffalo so the line weight, texture and palette stay consistent across the whole set.
