Preguntas frecuentes

What actually makes a dragon drawing look realistic?
Borrowing from animals that exist. Reptile skull structure, bat wing bones, big cat shoulder and haunch mass, and bird feet. Name the source animal for each part in the prompt and the creature reads as something that could stand up.
How do I draw dragon wings that could work?
Build them as arms. One upper arm bone, one forearm, then four long fingers spreading the membrane, with a thumb claw at the wrist. The membrane attaches down the body to the hip. Wings growing out of the shoulder blades with no bones inside never convince.
How do I draw scales without drawing thousands of them?
Vary the size by body part and render only some of it. Large keeled scales along the back, smaller ones on the limbs, and wide belly plates. Detail the scales near the silhouette edge and around the head, then let the rest fall away into plain tone.
How many legs should a realistic dragon have?
Either is defensible, but pick one and commit. Four legs plus separate wings means six limbs, which no real vertebrate has. Two legs with the wings as forelimbs matches bat and bird anatomy and is the easier one to make believable.
How do I draw a dragon head that looks like a real animal?
Start from a crocodile or monitor lizard skull, then add mass where muscle would sit: a heavy jaw closer, a ridged brow that shades the eye, and skin that creases at the joints. Horns should show growth bands like real keratin.
Can I keep one dragon consistent across several drawings?
Use Character Lineup to hold the design, then Style Transfer to keep the rendering consistent. Generate the head, the full body and the wing detail as separate pieces and they will read as the same creature.
