A bright metallic ping over a low punch, the sound that tells a player an opponent is out in an action game.

Finishing blow

A fast whoosh into a deep crunching thud and a low boom, for the final strike in a fighting game or a boss fight.

Body fall on a mat

One dull deep thud and a short rustle on a padded mat, for a knockout in a fighting game or a training scene.

Combo hit run

A quick run of punchy hits climbing in pitch, for a combo finisher in a brawler or a flashy animated fight.

Elimination burst

An electric crackle bursting into glassy shards, for an opponent dissolving out of a sci-fi or arena game.

Preguntas frecuentes

What is a kill sound effect?
In games, a kill sound is the feedback that plays when an opponent is taken out: a confirm ping, a finishing blow, a body falling on a mat, an elimination burst or a streak chime. It closes the moment and rewards the player.
Where can I get kill sounds for a video?
Generate them from a short description on Morphic and they come out built for your game. You skip the trawl through feedback packs, and every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so any of them is a starting point.
How do I make a custom kill sound effect?
Decide how final it should feel and what it is made of, then generate it. A prompt like "three bright rising synth chimes, each higher than the last, ending in a short shimmering sparkle" works well, and you can make it darker or brighter.
What is the difference between a kill sound, a hit sound and a death sound?
A hit sound plays every time damage lands. A kill sound plays once, when the opponent is out, and usually feels more final. A death sound plays for the player who lost, often a falling tone or a dull ending.
Can I use these kill sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my kill sound not sit right in the edit?
It often lands at the same time as the last hit and the two smear together. Delay the kill cue a few frames after the final impact, keep it brighter than the hits, and players will hear the difference.
