Pig sound effects

Five blunt wet chuffs pushed out through the snout, evenly spaced. This is the version most edits want, because a run of grunts reads as a contented animal going about its business rather than as an event.

Thin, piercing and over almost as soon as it starts. Reach for it when a scene needs something small and startled, since the hard front edge cuts through anything else running underneath.

Long, strained and cracking as it rises. It is the most dramatic sound on the page and the one to use sparingly, because it pulls every ear in the room toward the animal.

Wet intake through a wide snout working through loose ground, running without gaps. There is no call in it, which makes it the card you can lay under a line of dialogue and leave running.

A dozen animals grunting over each other with body knocks against metal. Use it when the scale is the point and no single pig should read as the subject of the shot.

Three forceful exhales with a dry jaw clack between them. It carries threat without ever becoming a squeal, which is useful when the animal has to feel dangerous rather than distressed.
