Crown splash at 1000 frames

A locked off macro shot in true high speed slow motion: a ripe cherry falls into a shallow bowl of milk and the crown splash rises as a ring of separate droplets, then the droplets arc over and fall back as the surface closes. Hard side light from the right picks out every droplet against a deep unlit background, a palette of deep red, warm white and near black. Macro, 100mm, one continuous take, filmed at 1000 frames per second and played back at 24. Every droplet stays separate and sharp, nothing smears. About 6 seconds, no loop. <one soft liquid impact, heavily slowed>. No music.

Edit prompt

Flour burst between hands

A locked off shot at 480 frames per second holds on a baker at a bench who brings both floured palms together in one hard clap, and the flour bursts outward as a slow expanding cloud with individual grains catching the light before the cloud stalls and begins to fall. A hard shaft of window light from the left cuts across the bench with everything behind it dark, a palette of bone white, warm timber and deep shadow. 50mm, one continuous take. Even slow motion, the cloud expands and settles within the clip. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a muffled slowed clap>. No music.

Gentle slowdown at 120 frames

A locked shot at 120 frames per second holds on a woman turning her head toward camera, the hair lifting and settling a beat behind the movement and her scarf shifting after her shoulders stop. She meets the lens and holds. Soft window light from the left with a dim room behind, a palette of warm skin, oatmeal wool and grey. 85mm, shallow plane, one continuous take. A mild even slowdown that never changes rate, and the hair comes fully to rest before the last frame rather than still moving as the clip ends. weight and follow-through rather than spectacle. A clean 6 second loop. <a slowed room tone>. No music.

Edit prompt

Held beat in mid air

A macro shot at 240 frames per second follows a hummingbird moth approaching a flower, then the motion halts completely for a beat with the moth held absolutely still in mid air, wings frozen mid stroke, before the clip resumes and it settles onto the petal. Warm late light from the right with a dark hedge behind, a palette of dusty grey wing, pale pink petal and deep green. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Slow motion, a complete stop, then motion again. About 8 seconds, no loop. <a slowed wing hum that cuts to silence and returns>. No music.

Edit prompt

Soap film breaking

A macro shot at 2000 frames per second holds on a soap film stretched across a wire loop, its surface swimming with interference colours, until a point of it gives way and the hole opens with the film edge retreating outward as a thickening rim. The loop is left empty. Hard raking light from the left with a black background so the colours are the only bright thing, a palette of iridescent magenta and cyan against black. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Constant high rate, the retreating edge clearly readable. About 6 seconds, no loop. <near silence, one faint slowed tick>. No music.

Edit prompt

Vortex opening in coffee

A locked overhead shot at 120 frames per second holds on a cup of black coffee as a spoon is drawn through it once and lifted, and the surface opens into a slow turning vortex with a dimple at its centre that deepens, holds and then closes as the rotation dies. A warm lamp above and slightly behind throws a moving highlight around the funnel, a palette of near black, warm crema tan and brass. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Gentle slow motion, the vortex opens and closes within the clip. Nothing else disturbs the surface at any point. A clean 6 second loop. <a slowed stir, ceramic>. No music.

Edit prompt

Fabric snapping taut

A locked shot at 480 frames per second holds on a woman shaking out a white bedsheet, and as her hands snap down a wave travels the length of the fabric from her grip to the far edge, the cloth cracking taut and then falling loose. Flat window light from the left with a dim bedroom behind, a palette of clean white, pale grey wall and warm floorboard. 50mm, one continuous take. Even slow motion, the travelling wave clearly readable. The sheet hangs slack at the first frame and is slack again by the last, with exactly one wave between them. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a slowed soft crack of cloth>. No music.

Edit prompt

Start blocks at 240 frames

A side tracking shot at 240 frames per second follows a sprinter driving out of the blocks, the first two strides showing calf and thigh flexing under load and the vest rippling with each push. She clears frame as the third stride lands. Hard stadium floodlight from high left with the crowd fallen to black behind, a palette of track red, white line paint and dark blue kit. 85mm, one continuous take. The rate is constant from first frame to last, never ramping and never returning to real time, and the slowdown is deep enough that the spike plate flexing under her foot is readable. About 6 seconds, no loop. <breath and spike plates, heavily slowed>. No music.

Edit prompt

Dog shaking off water

A locked off shot at 480 frames per second holds on a wet retriever standing on a riverbank as it begins a full body shake, the loose coat rotating ahead of the skin and water leaving in a radial spray that hangs in the air before falling. The shake finishes and the dog looks off frame. Low backlight from behind the dog turning every droplet into a bright bead, a palette of gold fur, dark bank and lit water. 85mm, one continuous take. Even slow motion, the shake completes within the clip. The coat is soaked at the first frame and the shake is fully finished before the clip ends. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a slowed low rumble of the shake>. No music.

Edit prompt

Wingbeat resolved into strokes

A locked macro shot at 2000 frames per second holds on a hummingbird at a red feeder, the wingbeat slowed until each stroke is legible as a separate forward and back sweep with the wing tip tracing a figure of eight. The bird holds position, drinks, then drops out of frame. Soft diffused daylight with a dark green garden falling away behind, a palette of iridescent green, signal red and deep shade. 200mm macro, one continuous take. Constant rate, one wing cycle clearly readable. The bird holds its position throughout and one complete wing cycle finishes before the clip ends. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a slowed low wing hum>. No music.

Edit prompt

Reversed pour gathering back

A locked macro shot in slow motion played backwards: milk lifts off a dark stone surface, gathers itself into a rising column and draws up into the lip of a jug, the surface left perfectly clean behind it. Nothing else in frame moves. One hard light from the left with a black background, a palette of bright white, wet slate and black. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Slow motion run in reverse: every movement runs upward into the jug and nothing in frame ever falls downward, and by the last frame the stone is dry and the jug is full. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a soft slowed liquid sound>. No music.

Edit prompt

Spray atomising into mist

A macro shot at 1000 frames per second catches a trigger spray releasing, the jet breaking immediately into a widening cone of individual droplets that slow, lose momentum and begin to drift and fall as a fine mist. Hard backlight from behind the cone making every droplet a bright point against black, a palette of white points, cold blue and black. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Constant high rate, the cone forms and then drifts. The nozzle is closed at the first frame and the cone has broken into a drifting mist by the last. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a slowed hiss falling away>. No music.

Edit prompt

Soft body deforming and recovering

A locked macro shot at 1000 frames per second holds on a ripe tomato on a slate slab as a smooth weight lands on it, the skin flattening and bulging outward at the sides before splitting along one line and the flesh recovering slightly as the weight lifts away. Hard side light from the right with a black background, a palette of deep red, wet slate grey and black. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Constant high rate, compression then partial recovery both visible. The skin is intact at the first frame and split along one line by the last. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a slowed dull impact and a soft split>. No music.

Edit prompt

Ball compressing on contact

A low locked shot at 1000 frames per second holds on a basketball falling to a polished court, and at contact the underside flattens into a broad disc, the panels distorting outward, before the ball rounds out and leaves the floor again. Hard gym lighting from high above with a reflection running under the ball, a palette of burnt orange, honey timber and dark line paint. 85mm, one continuous take. Constant high rate, the flattened contact patch clearly visible. About 6 seconds, no loop. <a slowed deep bounce>. No music.

Edit prompt

Ramp into a glass breaking

A locked shot plays at real time as a drinking glass slips from a hand and falls, then at the instant it touches the tiled floor the footage drops to 1000 frames per second and the break unfolds in stages, the base separating before the wall opens into curved shards. Cold overhead kitchen light with a hard specular edge on every fragment, a palette of white tile, clear glass and cold blue. 50mm, one continuous take. Normal speed, then the ramp fires exactly at contact. The glass is whole at the first frame and fully broken by the last. About 8 seconds, no loop. <a real time fall, then the break stretched long>. No music.

Edit prompt

Balloon burst holding shape

A macro shot at 2000 frames per second holds on a water balloon suspended in frame as a pin enters it, and the rubber peels away in a fraction of a second while the water briefly holds the balloon shape before losing its edges and collapsing. Hard rim light from behind with a black background, a palette of cold blue water, bright specular edges and black. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Constant high rate, the shape-holding moment clearly visible. The balloon is whole at the first frame and the water has lost its shape by the last. About 8 seconds, no loop. <a slowed dull burst>. No music.

Edit prompt

Pour breaking into beads

A locked macro shot at 480 frames per second holds on a glass as coffee is poured in from above, the stream falling as a smooth column that breaks into a chain of separate beads before it strikes the surface and folds under. The pour stops and the surface settles. One warm lamp from the left raking across the glass with a dark background, a palette of deep brown, warm amber and black. 100mm macro, shallow plane, one continuous take. Even slow motion, the column to bead transition visible. About 8 seconds, no loop. <a slowed pour, low and soft>. No music.

Edit prompt

Ramp out of a landing

A low tracking shot begins at 480 frames per second as a skateboarder comes off a ledge, board and body hanging in a long slow arc, then at the instant the wheels touch the ground the footage snaps back to real time and she rolls away at normal speed. Late sun low and behind her, long shadow running toward camera, a palette of hot concrete grey, dark denim and gold backlight. 35mm, one continuous take. Slow motion through the air, real time from the landing onward. She is airborne at the first frame and rolling away at normal speed by the last. About 8 seconds, no loop. <silence in the air, then wheels and grit at full speed>. No music.

Edit prompt

Double ramp on a breaking wave

A locked shot plays at real time as a wave rears up, drops to 480 frames per second exactly as the lip throws forward so the curtain of water and its spray hang in the air, then returns to real time as the whitewater rushes toward camera. Hard low sun behind the wave turning the lip translucent, a palette of green glass, white foam and gold backlight. 200mm, one continuous take. Real time, slow through the throw, real time again. The wave is rearing at the first frame and the whitewater fills the frame at the last. About 10 seconds, no loop. <full speed surf, then a long stretched roar, then full speed>. No music.

Edit prompt

Bubble rising through honey

A locked macro shot at 120 frames per second holds on a jar of honey as one air bubble rises from the bottom, deforming into an elongated teardrop as it climbs and rounding out as it nears the surface, where it stalls under the skin. Hard backlight through the jar turning the honey to glowing amber, a palette of gold, deep brown and black. 100mm macro, one continuous take. Slow even rise, the bubble changes shape as it travels. The bubble starts at the bottom of the jar and stalls under the surface before the clip ends, and nothing stirs the honey from outside. A clean 6 second loop. <a slowed viscous sound, room tone>. No music.

よくある質問

How do I use these slow motion prompts?
Pick any prompt, copy it, and paste it into Morphic. Each one names a frame rate and what that rate is meant to reveal, so the model has a target rather than a mood. Change the subject and the timing still holds.
Why does my clip look slowed down rather than shot in slow motion?
Because nothing in it was given a reason to need the frames. Real high speed footage shows detail that normal speed cannot resolve: droplets separating, a splash crown forming, fabric cracking taut. Name that detail and the motion reads as captured rather than stretched.
What frame rate should I ask for?
Match the rate to the event. 120 frames per second is a gentle slowdown that still feels real, 240 is the classic sports look, 1000 separates individual droplets, and higher rates freeze impact into stages. Saying a number gives the model something specific to aim at.
How do I write a speed ramp?
Say where the speed changes and what triggers it. "Real time until the glass touches the floor, then the impact plays at 1000 frames per second" gives a ramp a hinge; asking for a ramp on its own usually returns one constant speed.
Can I use the videos commercially?
The prompts here describe original scenes and fictional subjects, so what you generate is yours to use. Avoid prompting for real logos, trademarks, or a living person's likeness, and keep your final use in line with Morphic's terms.
