A long hold followed by exactly one change. The static camera and the wait build the pressure; the head that turns or the sheet that pulls tight releases it. Two changes in one clip splits the attention and neither lands, so give each beat its own generation.
How do I keep it frightening without gore?
Put the horror in behaviour and proportion rather than injury. A face that does not blink, a figure that ignores the wind, a weight in an empty chair. Adding "no blood, no injury" to the prompt costs nothing and keeps the clip publishable on ad-supported platforms, which is where most of this footage ends up.
Can I add sound to a scary video?
