Autodesk's production tracker for large pipelines, wired into the main 3D and compositing apps.
Autodesk's tracker, renamed Flow Production Tracking in 2024, handles shots, assets, schedules and resource planning, and links to Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Nuke and Photoshop through its Toolkit, with Python and REST APIs. Review covers frame-accurate notes, Live Review sessions and version compare, with the RV player for colour-accurate playback. It is $50 per user a month on monthly billing, or $390 a year on a 1-year term.

Kitsu, from CGWire, is an open-source tracker for animation, VFX and games that schedules tasks and reviews shots and assets in the same place. Supervisors see every Waiting for Approval task in one view, playlists run dailies, and a Review Room syncs playback and drawing. Guests comment from a public link. It is free to self-host under AGPL; hosted plans start at €20 per user a month on annual billing.

SyncSketch runs synced review sessions in the browser, where teams sketch over frames, images and 3D models and leave text and audio notes. Unity owns it, and it links to Maya; Enterprise adds Flow Production Tracking and Jira connections and a Python API. Indie is $9 per user a month on yearly billing, or $12 monthly, and the free Light plan allows 5 users, 2 projects and 1GB.

cineSync, also from Backlight, is a desktop player for synced sessions: each machine plays its own copy of the media, everyone stays on the same frame, and notes and drawings come back as a PDF. It links to ftrack Studio on every tier. Essential is $19 per user a month on annual billing, or $39 monthly, and Pro is $50 annually. Play is a free local player, and only the host needs a paid seat.
