Mine sounds for games, animation, and video edits

Pickaxe on rock

Three sharp stony cracks with a short metal ring, the steady work of a miner at the face.

Cart on rails

An iron cart clattering along old track with a rhythm of joint clicks, rolling toward or away from the camera.

Slow water drips

Single soft plinks into a shallow puddle, spaced out so the silence around them becomes part of the shot.

Small rockfall

Loose stones sliding and clattering to rest, a warning that the roof is not stable.

Creaking support beam

A slow dry groan with two small cracks from old timber carrying more weight than it should.

Chain through a pulley

Link after link running over a pulley wheel with a soft squeal, a lift or bucket being hauled.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

What is a mine sound effect?
It is the noise of work underground: tools on rock, carts on track, dripping water and shifting timber. This page is about the working mine, not the buried explosive that shares the word.
Where can I get mine sounds for a video?
Describe the tool and the surface and generate it. The six sounds here were each made from the prompt printed beside them, so you can start from one and change the material or the count.
How do I make a custom mine sound effect?
Say what is being hit, pulled or rolled, what it touches, and how many times. "An old wooden support beam creaking under load" shows the shape of a good prompt.
What is the difference between a rockfall and a cave-in?
A rockfall as described here is small loose stones clattering down and tapering off. A full collapse is a much larger event with a heavy rumble, and it is a different sound to prompt.
Can I use these mine sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. The generated clips are yours to cut into a game or a film.
Why does my cart sound too smooth?
Rails get their character from the joints. Ask for a rhythmic click at each joint and a clattering rumble on iron wheels, and say the track is old. That roughens a sound that would otherwise glide.
