Questions fréquentes
What is a change sound effect?
When a setting moves, the interface answers with a small cue: a toggle flipping, a slider ticking along its track, a knob clicking to a new position. These change sounds tell the user the state is now different, which is why they are short and follow the direction of the move.
Where can I get change sounds for a video?
Describe the switch or slider and generate it. That takes less time than auditioning a pack of interface clicks, and the change cue is made for your product. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom change sound effect?
Say what moves, how far and which way, then generate it. A prompt like "a slider dragged along a track, a quick run of small crisp ticks climbing in pitch" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the wording until it matches the motion.
What is the difference between a toggle, a slider and a knob sound?
A toggle is a single snap between two states, on or off. A slider is a run of ticks that follows a drag, and a knob is a set of firm detent clicks as it turns. Match the sound to the control on screen so the motion and the audio agree.
Can I use these change sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my change sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the cue is longer than the motion. A toggle flips in a few frames, so trim the snap tight to the move, and let slider ticks run only while the handle travels. Pitch matters too: rising for on or up, falling for off or down.
