Electric car sounds for games, animation, and video edits
Electric pull-away
A smooth rising motor whine over tyre hiss, for an EV gliding off from lights, a launch advert or a getaway scene.
Car warning hum
The synthetic hum an EV makes at walking pace, for car parks, driveways, crossings and a car creeping up on someone.
Power-on chime
A bright two-note chime, a relay click and an electric whir, for the start of a drive, a tech advert or a garage scene.
Regen braking
The motor whine falling smoothly as the tyres hiss to a stop, for an EV pulling up, a delivery drop-off or an arrival.
Charger plug-in
A hard plastic clunk, a latch click and two short beeps, for charging at home, at a station or in a product demo.
Electric pass-by
Tyre roar and air rush with a thin motor whine on top, for an EV sweeping past on a road, a race or a city street.

Questions fréquentes
What is an electric car sound effect?
An electric car sound effect is the set of noises an EV makes in place of an engine note: the motor whine, tyre hiss, relay clicks, a low-speed warning hum and the clunk of a charge plug. Together they tell an audience the car is electric at once.
Where can I get electric car sounds for a video?
Generate them on Morphic by writing what the car is doing. Every clip here was made from the prompt printed beside it, so take the closest, then change the speed, add more tyre noise or end it at a stop.
How do I make a custom electric car sound effect?
Describe the action and the parts you want to hear. A prompt like "an electric car pulling away from a stop, a smooth motor whine rising over tyre hiss" works, and adding a warning hum or a regen stop changes the moment.
What is the difference between an electric car and a petrol car sound?
A petrol car gives a rumbling engine note with gear changes and exhaust pops. An electric car is mostly tyre hiss and wind with a smooth motor whine that rises and falls with speed, plus a synthetic warning hum at low speed so people hear it coming.
Can I use these electric car sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my electric car sound not sit right in the edit?
Most often the whine is too loud for the speed on screen. At a crawl an EV is mainly its warning hum and tyre crunch, while at speed the tyres and wind take over, so balance whine against road noise to match the shot.
