Slow Motion

The pitched-down whoosh that tells the audience time just stretched. Generate the slow-motion sweep your shot needs, from a deep downward drop to a warbling time-stretch, and drop it clean on the cut.

  • Set how far time bends, from a gentle drag on a half-speed shot to a full plunge into near-stillness.
  • A transition made for this cut, rather than the stock whoosh every sports edit already leans on.
  • Deep, wide files that hold their low end even after a social platform re-encodes the video.

Slow motion cues for video, games, and animation

Deep whoosh drop

A falling, air-moving sweep that pitches downward as it goes, marking the instant speed changes.

Modifier le prompt

Time-stretch drag

A long smeared tone with the texture of tape slowing down, made to sit under the whole stretched section.

Modifier le prompt

Underwater warble

Low, wobbling filtered noise that dulls the highs, as though the scene were happening below the surface.

Modifier le prompt

Heartbeat slowdown

A pulse widening and slowing, ideal for a character's point of view during a crash or a decisive shot.

Modifier le prompt

Impact bloom

One hit expanded into a slow swelling boom with a long tail, so a punch keeps unfolding across many frames.

Modifier le prompt

Reverse swell

A rising, backwards-sounding build that pulls toward the cut and stops dead the moment normal speed returns.

Ways to use a slow motion sound effect

Drop into slow motion on the exact cut

A descending whoosh at the speed change makes the shift deliberate rather than accidental, in trailers, sports edits and anime alike.

When a stretched shot leaves a hole in the audio

Stretched drones and warbles occupy the long seconds a slowed shot creates, so a reel or a cutscene never goes bare.

A moment that refuses to end

Muffled low end and a distant heartbeat put a viewer inside a character's head while the world crawls around them.

What the character notices while everything stalls

An impact blooming outward implies a collision happening past the frame edge, a trick borrowed from comics and games.

Questions fréquentes

What is a slow motion sound effect?
It is the pitched-down sweep, usually a whoosh or a warbling tone that bends downward as it goes, that plays under a shot dropping into slow motion. The falling pitch mimics the way sound stretches when footage is slowed, so the audience reads the change in speed through their ears before the picture confirms it.
Where can I get a slow motion sound for a video?
Generate one rather than search for it. Describing the sweep you want takes less time than digging through a stock library, and you get the exact shape your cut needs instead of the closest available clip. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom slow motion sound effect?
Describe the shape of the sweep and how far the pitch falls, then generate it. A prompt like "a synth whoosh sweeping downward and stretching out as it slows" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can adjust the wording until the descent lines up with your cut.
What sound goes with a slow motion shot?
Most slow-motion cuts use a downward whoosh or a warbling time-stretch that drops in pitch as the footage slows, sometimes over a low sustained hum. The trick is matching the length of the sound to the length of the slow-motion clip so the sweep bottoms out exactly as the shot reaches its slowest point.
Can I use these slow motion sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated rather than pulled from a shared library, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my slow motion sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the timing is off rather than the sound itself. The sweep has to bottom out at the moment the picture reaches its slowest, so if it lands early it feels disconnected from the image. Generate a version whose length matches your slow-motion clip, line up the low point with the shot, and it locks in far more easily.
