What is a long sound effect?
It is a sound that holds rather than hits: a drone, a hum, a sustained note or a rising tone. These sounds run steadily through a scene instead of landing on one frame.
Where can I get sustained sounds for a video?
Describe the held sound by how it is made and generate it. Each clip on this page came from the prompt beside it, so you can copy one and swap the instrument or the pitch.
How do I make a custom drone or sustained tone?
Start with the mechanism, such as "a bowed cello holding one note", then add "continuous, unbroken, no gaps". Name the pitch and any wobble or rasp you want to hear.
