How do I draw a honeycomb pattern?
Draw one hexagon, then share each of its sides with a neighboring hexagon so the cells fit with no gaps. Light guide lines at 60 degree angles keep the grid even.
How do I draw honey dripping from a comb?
Let the honey pool along the lower edge of the cells, then pull it down into long rounded drips that thicken at the bottom. Add a bright highlight down each drip so it looks glossy.
How do I make honeycomb look three dimensional?
Shade the inside of each cell darker on one side and leave a light rim along the walls. Capped cells get a smooth domed surface with a soft highlight.
