Draw a tsunami and finish it in your browser

Describe the tsunami you want in Morphic's Image tool, from one curling wall of water to a whole flooded coastal landscape, and get a finished drawing back. Set the wave shape, the foam texture, the line weight and the paper, refine it on the Canvas, then download it in HD.

Tsunami drawings to try

Tsunami scenes to draw

Wave over a coastal town

A tsunami rising behind a low cityscape in ink line, rooftops drawn small and sharp along the base so the wave reads as enormous, sky left as bare paper.

Prompt bearbeiten
Wave over a coastal town

The harbour before the wave

The quiet moment first, pencil scenery of a harbour with the water drawn back off the sea bed, boats tilted in the mud and a dark line on the horizon.

Prompt bearbeiten
The harbour before the wave

Underwater cross-section

A cutaway of the same wave, the underwater half shown as long parallel lines running in from deep ocean, the surface crest inked heavily above them.

Prompt bearbeiten
Underwater cross-section

Higher ground looking back

A wide landscape drawn from a hillside path, terraced roofs in the foreground and the flooded plain beyond, tone kept light so the scenery stays readable.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

How do I draw a tsunami wave so it looks tall?
Scale comes from what you put next to it, not from the wave. Put small sharp detail along the base, such as rooftops, boats or trees, and keep the viewpoint low. Ask for a high horizon and the wave fills the frame naturally.
How do I draw the foam and white water?
Leave the paper blank where the foam is and draw the water around it. Describe the churn as clustered dots or short broken strokes rather than outlined bubbles, and keep the crisp outlines for a few shapes at the front edge only.
What makes an easy tsunami drawing for a school poster?
Ask for a single curling wave in clean line art with no shading, one flat colour behind it and a thin horizon. That style prints well, photocopies well and leaves room for hand-lettered text under the image.
How is a tsunami drawing different from a normal wave drawing?
A breaking wave curls and collapses. A tsunami reads as a moving wall of water with a long flat back and very little curl, so keep the crest low and the mass behind it deep, and draw the water pulling back off the shore.
Which colours suit a tsunami drawing?
A narrow cool palette works best: two greens, one deep blue-grey and white paper for the foam. Add one warm accent, such as ochre boats or a rooftop, so the eye has somewhere to rest against all that cold water.
Can I turn the finished drawing into a short clip?
Yes. Send the finished frame to Image to Video and ask for a slow push toward the crest. The drawn line stays put while the camera moves, which suits a classroom presentation or a title card.
