# Image Outpainting

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to use Outpainting on an image in Morphic:

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/akXRQeFgqUI>" %}

1. Upload or generate your image on the Canvas
2. Select the image and click Expand Artboard, and expand the frame in your desired direction(s)
3. Write a prompt describing how the image should extend, or leave it blank for Morphic to auto-complete the scene
4. Click Generate

That’s how you use Outpaining to add new visual content beyond the existing frame, blending seamlessly with the original image.
