MCP connects the AI assistants you already use to Morphic. Ask in plain language, and the images, video and audio land in your Morphic project. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard these assistants use to call outside tools, and it works on every plan. Here's a quick tutorial on how to use MCP on Morphic: {% embed url="" %} ## Connect an app Setup takes about a minute. The [MCP settings page](https://studio.morphic.com/settings/mcp) in Studio has copy buttons for the server URL and commands. {% tabs %} {% tab title="Claude" %} Works in Claude on desktop and the web. 1. Open [Connectors](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors) in Claude, click 'Add', then 'Add custom connector' 2. Name it Morphic, paste this as the MCP server URL, then click 'Continue' and 'Add': ``` https://mcp.morphic.com/mcp ``` 3. Click 'Connect', then 'Allow' on the Morphic page that opens On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector first in [Organization settings > Connectors](https://claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors), and you click 'Connect'. In a terminal, run: ``` claude mcp add --transport http --scope user morphic https://mcp.morphic.com/mcp ``` 2. In Claude Code, run `/mcp`, select morphic, and choose 'Authenticate' 3. Click 'Allow' on the Morphic page that opens `--scope user` makes Morphic available in every folder. If you already connected Morphic in Claude, Claude Code signed in with the same account has it too. Paste this URL, name the server morphic, and choose 'Global': ``` https://mcp.morphic.com/mcp ``` 3. Send a message in Copilot Chat. When VS Code asks, trust the server, then click 'Allow' to sign in 4. Open 'Settings' > 'MCP servers' and select 'Add server' 2. Name it morphic, choose 'Streamable HTTP', and paste this URL: ``` https://mcp.morphic.com/mcp ``` 3. Save the server, then select 'Restart' 4. Select 'Authenticate', then click 'Allow' on the Morphic page that opens If you already added Morphic with the Codex CLI on this computer, the app shares that setup. Open 'Settings' > 'AI' > 'MCP Servers', click 'Add Server', and choose 'Add Remote Server' 2. Enter morphic as the Server Name, paste this as the URL, and click 'Save': ``` https://mcp.morphic.com/mcp ``` 3. Click 'Authenticate', then 'Allow' on the Morphic page that opens [Zed MCP guide](https://zed.dev/docs/ai/mcp) {% endtab %} {% endtabs %} If you belong to more than one organization, the Morphic page asks which one to use. To check the connection, ask your assistant to list your Morphic projects. If no list comes back, make sure 'Allow MCP access' is on in the [MCP settings](https://studio.morphic.com/settings/mcp). If you work in ChatGPT, connect through the Codex app. Other MCP apps can connect if they identify themselves when they sign in. For another app, [request it](mailto:support@morphic.com?subject=MCP%20app%20request). ## Capabilities * Images: generate up to four at once, edit, inpaint, outpaint, upscale, crop and combine * Video: generate from text, an image, first and last frames or reference images. Upscale, lip sync, join, trim, change the speed and burn in subtitles * Audio: speech, dialogue, music and sound effects. Change a voice, join or trim audio, and transcribe * Review: ask what is on screen in a video, or check an audio clip's loudness and silences * Library: browse projects, assets, past generations, saved references and workflows, and bring in files by link or upload * Cost: see models and their prices, check your credit balance, or get an estimate for a job of up to 20 steps before it runs For example: "Make three 9:16 shots of a ceramic mug in soft morning light, then animate the best one." Name a model, or Morphic picks one. Your plan and [Model access](/docs/account-and-billing/settings/model-access.md) settings decide which are available. To run a workflow, use video-to-video, or save a new reference, open Studio. ## Results * Every file it makes or imports lands in your project's library, ready to add to a Canvas or a Compose timeline. If you have more than one project, name the one to use * Each result comes with an 'Open in Morphic' link. Apps that show cards display a live card while it generates * Edits save as new copies, so your originals stay as they are * Generations use your Morphic credits, and [member credit limits](/docs/account-and-billing/settings/member-credit-limits.md) apply. Once a generation starts, it runs to the end ## Permissions and access * Connecting shows the app and what it can do: view projects, view assets, add files, and generate with your credits * To disconnect an app, click 'Revoke' under 'Your connected apps' on the [MCP settings page](https://studio.morphic.com/settings/mcp). Each member manages their own connections * Unused connections expire after 30 days. Connect again from the app to keep going * 'Allow MCP access' is on by default. Admins can turn it off, which pauses every connection That's how you use MCP on Morphic.
