How do I draw Mars so it looks like a sphere?
Curve the shading with the surface and put the terminator, the soft line between lit and unlit sides, off centre. A thin darker rim just inside the outline finishes it, because a sphere never has a hard flat edge.
What colour should Mars be in a drawing?
Rust and ochre with grey in the darker regions, not a flat bright red. Layer two or three warm tones and leave a pale, almost white cap at one pole. That contrast is what stops it reading as a plain red ball.
How do I draw the surface features?
Work in three passes: large dark patches first, then the big canyon and volcano shapes, then craters last. Keep all crater shadows pointing the same way, and let a few overlap so the surface looks old.
Can I get a Mars drawing as a PNG with no background?
