Questions fréquentes
What is a butt sound effect?
Butt sound effects are the cartoon comedy sounds used for sitting, bouncing and pratfall gags: a plop onto a cushion, a jiggly wobble, a slap, a whoopee cushion, a bump and trousers ripping. They are made for playful, family-friendly humour.
Where can I get butt sounds for a video?
Describe the gag and generate it, which is quicker than digging through a comedy pack for a plop with the right bounce. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom butt sound effect?
Name the gag and its texture, then generate it. A prompt like "a cartoon plop onto a squishy cushion, a deep rubbery thump with a springy squeak" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can push the wording until the bounce feels right.
What is the difference between a cartoon plop, a jelly wobble and a bouncy bump?
A cartoon plop is the thump of sitting down hard on something squishy. A jelly wobble is the shaking boing that follows a landing, and a bouncy bump is two rubbery things knocking together and springing apart, so they often play in sequence.
Can I use these butt sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my butt sound not sit right in the edit?
Comedy sounds land only when the timing is exact. Put the plop on the frame the character touches the seat, let the wobble follow straight after, and keep both a little louder than you think so the gag reads over music.
