Build to the drop on the final frame
A bowed climb that cuts at the peak gives a reveal its lead-in, in a trailer, a game boss intro or a product launch.

Ways to use a metallic riser sound effect
Fill a held shot with rising tension
A scraping grind over a still frame keeps it uneasy without music, in a thriller, a horror short or a survival game.
Modifier le prompt
Set a cold, industrial mood
A resonant low drone swelling in the first seconds establishes a hard, mechanical world, in a sci-fi open, a documentary or a level intro.
Modifier le prompt
Imply a countdown the viewer cannot see
Accelerating ticks climbing behind the frame suggest a mechanism winding up, in a heist film, an audio drama or an escape-room game.

Questions fréquentes
What is a metallic riser sound effect?
It is a tension sweep built from metal sounds, climbing in pitch or intensity before a cut. It is used to lead a viewer toward a hit, a drop or a reveal.
Where can I get a metallic riser for a video?
Describe the build and generate it at the length your cut needs. That avoids trimming a stock riser to fit, and each sound here came from the prompt printed beside it.
How do I make a custom metallic riser?
Name the metal source and the build: for example scraped metal rising in pitch, harsh and gritty, cutting off at the top. Change the source or the speed of the climb and the riser changes.
What is the difference between a metallic riser and a swoosh?
A riser climbs toward a peak and then stops, while a swoosh passes by and fades. A metallic riser also has a harder, colder texture, so it fits tension rather than movement.
Can I use these metallic riser sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. A riser generated for you will not be the same build other trailers use.
Why does my riser not land on the cut?
The peak of a riser needs to fall on the cut frame. Slide the clip so the final cut-off hits the frame the picture changes, and pick the ring-out version if you want the sound to carry into the next shot.
