Questions fréquentes
What is a roar sound effect?
It is the loud open-throated bellow of a large animal or creature. It is longer and rougher than a growl, with a rasp in the tail, and it signals size and threat.
Where can I get roar sounds for a video?
Describe the size of the beast and how the roar builds, then generate it, which is more precise than flicking through a library of lion and bear clips. Each sound here came from the prompt beside it.
How do I make a custom roar?
State the size of the animal, then the shape of the roar, for example "a growl that rises into a full roar, ending on a raspy breath". Generate and adjust the length.
What is the difference between a roar and a growl?
A growl is low and held in the throat. A roar opens up, is louder, and often starts from a growl. Ask for a rise from growl to roar to get both in one clip.
Can I use these roar sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each roar is generated for you, it will not match a clip in a competing trailer.
Why does my roar sound too small?
Size words matter. Anchor the source as huge or bear-sized, and avoid anything that reads as a house pet. A rough, raspy tail also reads as a bigger throat.
