What proportions should a pig drawing use?

The body is roughly two and a half head lengths long and sits low, with the belly line closer to the ground than most people draw it. The legs are short and the knees are high, tucked up under the body. Blocking the long barrel of the body first, then hanging short legs off it, fixes most of the shape.

How do I draw a pig snout?

Draw it as a flat disc on the end of the muzzle, not as a nose on the front of a face. Tilt the disc slightly and it becomes an ellipse, which immediately tells the viewer which way the head is turned. Two nostrils sit low in the disc, and a few soft wrinkles run back from its edge.
