How do I get a sliding paper door rather than a normal one?
Describe the mechanism. A panel running along a track in a groove, ending in a gentle stop, is a completely different sound from a hinged door with a latch. Naming the material alone is not enough.
Why does my cicada track sound like static?
It was prompted as one texture. Any dense natural sound needs its unit described first, here a dry rapid rasp from a single insect, and the density second. That is what stops it flattening into noise.
How is this different from the anime page?
This is real places; that one is stylised drawing conventions. A sliding door here sounds like a door, where the anime page carries impacts and speed lines that have no real-world recording at all.
