How do I draw a spacesuit so it reads as a suit and not clothing?
The giveaway is the joints. A pressure suit does not crease the way fabric does, it ribs into concentric rings at the elbows, knees, shoulders and wrists so the limb can bend under pressure. Draw those rings and a hard locking collar at the neck and wrists, and the rest of the figure reads correctly even if you keep it simple.
How do I draw the visor?
Treat it as curved glass, not a hole. Give it one broad soft gradient across the dome and one hard narrow highlight near the top edge where the light source sits. If you want a reflection, bend the horizon line and anything reflected in it around the curve rather than drawing it flat.
How do I make the figure look weightless?
Weight shows in the pose, not the background. A standing figure plants its feet and stacks its mass over them, a floating one does not, so let the limbs drift at unrelated angles, tip the whole body off vertical and never line the feet up along a ground plane. A trailing tether curving loosely behind sells it further.
What is an easy astronaut drawing for a beginner?
Start from simple volumes. The helmet is a sphere, the torso a rounded box, the limbs are cylinders segmented by joint rings. Block those in lightly, check the proportions, then add only the chest pack and the visor. Adding seams and straps before the volumes are right is what makes beginner attempts collapse.
How do I get a plain background behind the figure?
Ask for a flat white paper background with no stars, planet or setting around the astronaut, then crop it on the Canvas to the framing you want. A clean silhouette is what makes the drawing usable as a sticker, a print or one panel in a larger layout.
