FAQs

How do I draw seafood?
Pick one item first, such as a shrimp, a crab or an oyster, and draw its basic shape. Add the shell segments, legs or ridges, then group several items on a plate or ice for a platter.
How do I draw a shrimp?
Draw a curved C shape that narrows toward the tail, then split it into shell segments. Add small legs underneath, a fan shaped tail and two long antennae at the head.
How do I draw a lobster or crab so it looks cooked?
Color the shell a bright orange red with darker red on the ridges and joints. Add a few pale highlights and place it on ice or a plate so it reads as food.
How do I draw crushed ice under seafood?
Draw small irregular shapes with bright white edges and pale blue shadows. Leave plenty of white paper so the ice looks cold and wet.
Can I use a seafood drawing on a restaurant menu?
Yes. Ask for a flat graphic or clean colored pencil drawing on a plain background, crop it on the Canvas and download it in HD for a menu, sign or poster.
Can I animate a seafood drawing?
Yes. Send the drawing to Image to Video and describe a small motion, such as steam rising from mussels or smoke drifting from a grill.
