Make the frustration land with a crush
A can crushed flat on the frame the fist closes gives the moment its anger, in a short film, a comedy sketch or an animated scene.
Edit prompt
Can
Drink can sounds from an empty can crushed in a fist to a full one dropped on tiles and a pile of empties clattering out. Describe the can sound your scene needs and Morphic generates it clean.
- A crush, a drop, a can set down or a pile of empties clattering, made as you ask
- Clangs made for the recycling run in your neighbourhood comedy
- Only the can, with no fizz or chatter, ready to sync to a foot or a hand on screen

FAQs
What is a can sound effect?
Here it means a drink can being handled once it is open or empty: crushed, dropped, set down, shaken or thrown away. The thin aluminium gives empty cans a bright, tinny ring, while full ones land with a dull thunk.
Where can I get can sounds for a video?
Start from a short description on Morphic. Saying what happens to the can is quicker than wading through stock clips of tabs and fizz, and every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom can sound effect?
Say whether the can is full or empty, what happens to it and the surface, then generate it. A prompt like "a full drink can dropped onto a hard tiled floor, a dull metallic thunk and a slosh" gives Morphic enough to work with.
What is the difference between a full can and an empty can sound?
An empty can is light and hollow, so it rings, bounces and clatters for longer. A full can is heavy, so it lands with a dull thunk and a slosh and barely bounces. Say which one in the prompt, because the two read very differently on screen.
Can I use these can sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my can sound not sit right in the edit?
Usually the can bounces longer than it does on screen. Trim the clatter to the frame it stops moving, and if the can is full in the shot, pick a dull drop with a slosh so it does not ring the way an empty one would.
