Deep

A deep impact boom, a rumble from far underground, a slow heavy heartbeat and a steel hull groaning under pressure. Describe how low and how far down it should sound and Morphic generates it clean.

  • A low boom, an underground rumble or a heavy heartbeat, generated from your words
  • Sized for the title card that lands over black at the top of your trailer
  • Clean low-end sounds you can drop under a cut and feel through the speakers
A dark shockwave ring of dust bursting outward from a single point, rippling across black ground

Deep sounds for games, animation, and video edits

Deep impact boom

One huge low hit with a rolling tail, the go-to for a title card, a hard cut to black or a monster landing on screen.

Underground rumble

Rock and earth grinding far below the surface, a bed for mines, bunkers, tunnels and anything waking up underground.

Deep heartbeat

Slow, heavy double thuds with real low-end weight, for tension, a close-up of a frightened character or a boss approaching.

Hull groan

A long low metallic moan of a steel hull under pressure, for a submarine dive, a deep-sea station or a ship in trouble.

Pressure gurgle

Slow heavy gurgles and low bubbling far down in dark water, a bed for the ocean floor, a flooded vault or a sinking scene.

Stone down a well

A hollow plunk into water far below and a long booming echo, the classic way to show how deep a well, pit or shaft goes.

Ways to use a deep sound effect

Land a title card with real weight

A deep impact boom on the first frame of a title gives it physical weight, in a trailer, a game intro or a podcast episode opener.

Carry a dark descent without music

A pressure gurgle bed under a long dive into dark water keeps tension climbing with no score, in a documentary, a diving game or an animation.

Set a scene deep below the ground

An underground rumble over the opening shot puts viewers inside a mine or bunker at once, in a thriller, a survival game or an audio drama.

Show how far down a pit really goes

A stone falling to a far splash measures a drop the camera never shows, in an adventure film, a dungeon game or a radio play.

FAQs

What is a deep sound effect?
People mean two things by deep: very low sounds, like a booming hit or a heavy heartbeat, and sounds from great depth, like a rumble underground or water pressure far below. Both live in the bottom of the range, where the listener feels them as much as hears them.
Where can I get deep sounds for a video?
Spell out how low and how far down, then generate the clip, which is faster than auditioning bass packs one by one. Every sound on this page was made from the prompt printed beside it, so you can start from one and adjust it.
How do I make a custom deep sound effect?
Start with a heavy source and add words for weight and depth: low, booming, far below, sub-bass. A prompt like "a deep subterranean rumble, a heavy low growl of rock and earth grinding far below" gives Morphic enough to work with, and you can push it lower or closer.
What is the difference between a deep, a bass and a sub drop sound?
Sub drops are falling sine sweeps used on transitions, and bass sounds are low synthetic hits and swells. Deep sounds include those weights but come from physical sources too: rock, water, steel and a heartbeat, so they suit scenes set somewhere far down.
Can I use these deep sounds commercially?
Yes, audio generated on paid plans can be used commercially. See our terms for full licensing details. Because each sound is generated for you, you also avoid the clip turning up in someone else's video.
Why does my deep sound not sit right in the edit?
Most of a deep sound is below what laptop and phone speakers can play, so it vanishes there. Check on headphones and small speakers, and pick a take with some upper growl or click on the hit so it still reads when the lowest notes drop out.
