What makes a clip read as cel animation rather than generic 2D?
Four things: a visible ink outline, flat unshaded colour inside it, a painted background that is clearly a different material from the characters, and motion that steps rather than glides. Name all four in the prompt and the register lands.
What does animating on twos mean?
Each drawing is held for two frames instead of one, so the motion has a slight pulse rather than a glassy smoothness. It is the rhythm most people recognise as traditional animation. Asking for it by name is the fastest way to get it.
How do I keep a character consistent across cel shots?
