Push along empty lanes

A slow forward push just above still water alongside the lane floats of an empty competition pool, caustics shifting across the tile below.

Drift over mosaic tile

An underwater drift across blue mosaic tile as a shifting net of caustics travels over the grout lines, midday sun refracting through above.

Edit prompt

Rising toward the surface

From mid-water the camera rises slowly toward the mirrored underside of the surface, the sun burning through it as a soft bright ball.

FAQs

Where can I make swimming pool stock footage with AI?
You can generate it in your browser on Morphic. Describe the water, the depth, the camera speed and the hour in the Text to Video tool and the plate renders in minutes. No location fee, no pool hire and no waiting for the light to come round.
What pool shots render most reliably?
Still water, caustics on tile, steam on a cold morning and empty decks are the safest by a distance. They ask the model to render light and texture rather than complex fluid behaviour. Splashes, dives and swimmers churning a lane are the hardest, because the water has to break and reform correctly while a body moves through it.
How do I get caustics that look real?
Slow the camera down and ask for still or barely rippled water. Caustics are a slow, drifting net of light, and a camera that moves quickly turns them into strobing artefacts that read as a rendering error. Naming the sun position also helps, since high overhead light makes tight bright cells and low light stretches them across the floor.
Do I need a property release for a generated pool?
There is no real property in a generated clip, so there is nothing to release. Keep the architecture generic in the prompt and forbid identifiable landmarks and readable signage, and the plate stays free of any specific hotel, club or leisure centre. That is the part a library clip usually cannot promise you, since it was shot at a real venue.
How is this different from resort footage in a library?
Resort b-roll is shot at a specific property, so it arrives with that venue, those guests and whatever signage was in shot. Generating means you set the tile colour, the water state, the hour and the length, then render an empty version and a version with a swimmer and choose in the edit. It also means you can build an off-season or night look that almost nobody shoots on spec.
