How is this different from the choir page?
That page is an ensemble singing, which is music you can run under a scene. This is a reveal sting: a harp sweep and a vocal swell used to make a single frame land, and it is as often comic as sincere.
How do I make it funny rather than earnest?
Cut it short. A second and a half ending abruptly reads as a joke, where six seconds resolving into a held chord reads as sincere. Same ingredients, opposite effect.
Should the voices sing words?
No. One open vowel keeps it a sting. As soon as words are audible it becomes music, and the audience starts listening to it rather than to the picture it is pointing at.
Where should the sting land?
On the frame the thing appears, never before. Arriving early announces the reveal and spends it, which is the most common way this cue gets wasted.
What if the full cue is too much?
Use one voice. A single sustained open vowel with no ensemble behind it is smaller and stranger, and it suits a quiet reveal that a full swell would flatten.
