FAQs

What is a microdrama?
A microdrama is a scripted series told in short vertical episodes, usually one to three minutes each, made to watch on a phone. Each episode ends on a hook that pulls the viewer into the next, and a full series runs many episodes.
How do you make a microdrama with AI?
Start with a script, an audio episode, or an idea. On Morphic, the agent plans and storyboards the shots, generates each one from your character references, adds dialogue, score, and sound, and assembles the episode. You can then fine-tune the cut in Compose, by hand or with a prompt.
How long is a microdrama episode?
Most microdrama episodes run one to three minutes and are framed vertically for phones. On Morphic you set the format and length once in a workflow, so every episode in the season comes out the same way.
Can AI keep the same characters across episodes?
Yes. Save each character, location, and costume as a reference sheet, and every shot is generated from those sheets, so faces and sets stay the same from episode to episode. On Morphic you can save a character once and call it by name in any prompt.
Can I turn an audio drama into a video series?
Yes. Upload a narrated episode and Morphic transcribes it word by word, plans shots timed to the voice, and keeps your narration as the soundtrack. Each episode of the audio series becomes a vertical video episode.
Can I make microdramas in Hindi, Spanish, or other languages?
Yes, in multiple languages. Write and voice the series in your audience’s language, or dub a finished season into another language and lip sync the talking shots. Subtitles can be burned into the video in Latin-script languages such as English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Turkish; for scripts like Hindi or Japanese you get a subtitle file.
How do I test a microdrama idea before making a full season?
Make a pilot episode with a few different openings and compare them before you commit to the season. Because the pilot runs on a workflow, the episodes that follow keep the same look, characters, and settings.
What is a workflow in Morphic?
A saved, step-by-step recipe for the work every episode repeats, from storyboard to final cut. Each step can lock its model and settings so episode ten looks like episode one, an approval gate pauses the run before the costly stage, and anyone on the team runs it by filling in a short form.
Can Morphic build a custom workflow for my production?
Yes. Our team can set up a workflow for your show, from character references to the final cut, built around your format, languages, and budget, and scoped and priced with your production. Send us a note through the Talk to us form on this page to start.
How can studios control the cost of AI video production?
On Morphic Enterprise, admins set a daily or monthly credit limit for each member, approve requests for more, and see spend by person and by project. A workflow’s run history shows what each episode used, and Enterprise plans come with high-volume credits priced for your slate.
Can a team work on the same series?
Yes, on the Pro plan and above. Writers, artists, and editors work on the same Canvas and the same Compose timeline at once, and everyone draws on one shared library of characters, shots, and episodes.
