Draw coffee that looks hot

Draw coffee in your browser with Morphic's Image tool by naming the vessel, the crema on the surface and how much steam lifts off the drink. Set the line weight, the texture and the palette, refine the drawing on the Canvas, then download it in HD.

FAQs

How do I draw coffee so it looks hot?
Steam does most of the work, but it has to be loose and uneven. Ask for two or three broken lines that widen and fade as they rise, rather than matching symmetrical curls.
How do I draw the surface of the drink?
Keep it as an ellipse that matches the angle of the cup rim, then add a darker ring where the liquid meets the ceramic. That contact shadow is what gives the drink depth.
How do I draw a coffee bean correctly?
Draw an oval with a wavy crease running down the centre, slightly off straight, and keep one end a touch narrower. A perfectly straight crease makes the bean look like a seed shape.
How do I draw milk folding into coffee?
Ask for a pale shape spreading from one point and pulling into a soft tail, with the edges feathered rather than outlined. Hard edges make the milk look like a sticker.
Can I get a coffee drawing on a plain background for a cafe menu?
Yes. Ask for a plain white background with nothing around the cup, then crop it on the Canvas and download in HD, ready for a menu, a board or a packaging layout.
Can I draw a whole drinks menu in one style?
Lock one coffee drawing with Style Transfer, then generate every other drink against it so line weight, texture and palette stay consistent across every item.
