FAQs

How do I get a drawing that looks like a real child made it?
Ask for the imperfections by name: wobbly uneven lines, patchy fill that misses the outline, figures at different scales, and a flat sky strip rather than a full sky. Those traits are what make the drawing read as genuine rather than styled.
What should a kid draw first?
Subjects built from circles, triangles and straight lines, so a house, a cat, a fish, a rocket or a tree. Ask for the drawing in one thick even outline with no shading, which is the easiest thing for a small hand to follow.
Can I turn a kid drawing into a colouring page?
Yes. Ask for bold black outlines only, no shading and wide open shapes, then download it in HD and print it at A4. Keeping the line thick stops it breaking up when a child colours over it.
How do I keep it age appropriate?
Say the age in the prompt. A four year old draws closed loops and stick limbs, a seven year old adds a ground line, windows and detail. Naming the age gives the drawing a consistent level of skill.
Can I make a whole set in one style?
Generate one drawing, lock it with Style Transfer, then run the other subjects against it. The crayon texture, line wobble and palette stay the same, which is what makes a set look like one sketchbook.
Which medium reads most like a kid drawing?
Waxy crayon is the most recognisable because of the patchy coverage and the paper grain showing through. Felt-tip gives flat saturated colour, and poster paint suits big simple subjects like a rainbow.
