Draw a playground scene with the equipment you choose

Describe the playground you want in Morphic's Image tool, from a single swing set in fine line to a full park scenery drawing with a slide, a climbing frame and a roundabout. Set the viewpoint, the medium and how busy the scene is, refine it on the Canvas, then download it in HD.

Playground drawing styles you can make

Playground scenes you can compose

Busy playground in the park

A wide playground scene in park scenery, ink contour with light wash, children on the swings and the slide, trees drawn in lighter line behind.

Empty playground in the rain

The same equipment with nobody on it, graphite, wet ground reflecting the frames in broken vertical strokes and the sky smudged flat grey.

Top-down playground layout

A playground seen straight from above, ruled even line, each zone marked by a surface change so the layout reads as a plan rather than a scene.

Outline playground to colour

A slide, swings, a see-saw and a sandpit as bold outlines only, wide blank shapes and a simple ground line, ready for colouring in.

FAQs

How do I draw a playground for a school project?
Pick three pieces of equipment rather than ten, put them on one ground line and draw them in bold even outline. A crowded playground is harder to read and takes far longer to finish than a clear one.
How do I draw a slide so the shape looks right?
Draw the chute as two parallel curves that stay the same distance apart, with the ladder set behind rather than beside it. Asking for a low angle makes the height obvious without needing shading.
How do I draw swings that look like they are hanging?
Keep the chains perfectly vertical when the swing is still, and lean both chains the same way when it is moving. Chains drawn at different angles are what make a swing set look broken.
Should I include children in the drawing?
Only if the scene is about play rather than the equipment. Say how many and what they are doing, because an unspecified crowd fills the frame and buries the structures you spent the line work on.
How do I draw a playground layout from above?
Ask for a top-down plan with even line weight and no perspective, with each zone marked by a change of surface. That view suits signage and school site plans much better than a scene view.
Can I put the playground in a park landscape?
Yes. Describe the surrounding scenery in the same prompt, trees, a path and a fence line, and ask for them in lighter line weight so the equipment stays the darkest part of the drawing.
